Pilot Training in India Consist of 3 Major Steps

1st Step

CPL Ground Classes

The 1st step in Pilot Training in India is to clear DGCA Exams namely

  • Navigation

  • Meteorology

  • Regulation

  • Technical General

  • RTR (A)

We provide CPL Ground Classes for all the DGCA Exams.

Duration- 6 Months

All Books and Reading Material is provided by the Academy.

2nd Step

Pilot Medical

To Become a Pilot in India and to attain CPL- Commercial Pilot License

the student needs to clear the following Pilot Medical

  • Class 2 Medical- This is done by a DGCA Approved Class 2 Medical Doctor.

  • Class 1 Medical- This is done at DGCA Approved Medical Center like AFCME

  • This step should be started as soon as possible along with the 1st step.

  • We guide the student to how to Apply for the Pilot Medical.

3rd Step

Flying Training

Student needs to complete 200 hours of Flying Training in order to get CPL.

200 hours include

- PIC Flying Breakup
- 100 hrs as PIC
- 50 hrs X-Cty flying (more than 100Nm Radius) As PIC
- 20 hrs Instrument Flying + 20 Hrs Simulator Training
- 5 hrs Night Flying as PIC
- Checks as prescribed by DGCA

Duration- 8 to 10 Months

Flying Training Cost- 30 lakh

(Multi Engine Rating + IR)

Courses Available During the Pilot Training

Private Pilot License (PPL) - For people who enjoy flying, this licence is ideal.

Commercial Pilot License (CPL) - Through this program, students learn theoretical and practical flight knowledge necessary to obtain appropriate pilot licenses and pursue a full-time career.

Instrument Rating (IR) - A student can obtain this qualification to be able to fly under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) in addition to the CPL and PPL.

Instructor Rating - For students interested in becoming flight instructors, this course includes flight training and lectures and briefings on how to conduct them effectively.

On a twin-engine aircraft, CPL (ME / IR) - CPL + Multi-Engine Type rating + Instrument Rating (IR). The students will learn about the fundamentals of flying, technical briefings, and how to handle emergencies such as engine failures. This training is beneficial to Indian students.

Pilot Training in India

In India, At the age of 18, you can start your pilot training. In two years, you can complete your training and as a commercial qualified pilot, your starting salary would be around one lakh per month. You can become a Captain in four years and a monthly salary of around Rs. 5 lakh.

The minimum academic requirement for beginning your pilot training in India is a 12th-grade degree in Physics, Mathematics and English.

The Pilot Training in India is available to anyone over the age of 18. Even if you have an arts or commerce background, you can work as a pilot in India. Then, you can pass the NIOS Math and Physics exam required for pilot training in India.
